It’s been more than 20 years since Adobe launched the first version of Photoshop. During that time, we’ve experienced the birth of digital imaging technologies, including digital photography, digital inkjet printing, desktop publishing, and the internet, to name a few. Today, we’re still grappling with new business models and challenges, such as the explosive growth of digital media and content solutions, and the changing relationship between consumers and producers.

The Style Book tool lets you quickly access any previously saved custom styles, a method which is very similar to creating a pre-defined skeleton for the particular print design (if that makes sense). But since you don’t have to be limited to using styles, you can also create brand new ones. The Style Book is great for designers who need to apply a set of common, repeated graphic elements.

Layers are used to organize the content of a graphic design from start to finish. It’s the foundation of your picture by starting with the layers. But the layers themselves can also be further organized into groups. For this reason, layers are also referred to as Groups: It’s the same thing. And groups can be nested, in which case they can be nested as well, and the process continues ad logging away. Photoshop tops this with the Layer Modes. Hint: Layer Modes are what that separate a group of layers that are different from the main artgroup assigned to its original position.

What It Does: The Move tool lets you easily and quickly reposition objects. This tool can be used in two different ways. The first method, Edit—Photo uses the Pen tool to constrain movement. This means that you can only move the objects in a page, page matrix, or, in some cases, across the page as a whole. The second method, Warp, is a bit more dynamic — you can do all sorts of randomized movement that’s more spatial.

The marquee selection tool lets you select and move an object inside your graphics so you can use it somewhere else in your design. In some cases, it will completely separate it. For this reason, the marquee selection tool is referred to as the “digitizing tool”. It can also be used in various ways. A few of them include: triple selection, which allows for a better selection than rectangle, or polygon, which allows for a precise selection for complex shapes. But what’s best about the marquee tool is it can be used for both modification and erasing. Depending on how you use it or what you use it for, you may need to re-iterate the process quite a bit.

Photoshop has introduced the concept of “curves”. Curves are now part of the selection tool as well as the Levels tool. You can use them to create distortions and special effects on your image. You can create a Gaussian Blur effect using the curves tool. Moving the center point of your curves determines the strength of your blur. Curves are also used for distinguishing between background and foreground. Another useful curves tool is the geometric black and white tool. It fills in your canvas with a basic black and white pattern. You can change the Geometric settings and blend modes, which lets you create your own pattern.

Adobe Sensei can also identify the name in the text itself and provide results directly from within the artwork.

This is possible because when you save content from the web, you have the option of saving images as HTML. If you live in other countries, you may wish to save an image in a localized format. Adobe will also display artwork in other languages.
