Move 5min interval starting point

I have a database table in which data is logged every minute. I want to have a running total for each day at 5 minute intervals.
This is what I have tried so far.
SELECT
MONTH(datetime) as Month,
YEAR(datetime) as Year,
day(datetime) as day,
hour(datetime) as hour,
minutes(datetime) as minutes,
COUNT(*) as cnt
FROM
Datasets
WHERE
day(datetime) = day(current_timestamp) AND
hour(datetime) = hour(current_timestamp)
GROUP BY
Month,Year,day(datetime),hour(datetime),minutes(datetime)
ORDER BY
Month,Year,day(datetime),hour(datetime),minutes(datetime)

which gives me this result:

Can anyone please help me to improve this so that it shows me the running totals for the periods which match from this query?

You can do it using a recursive query (a self-join). It depends on the data type of datetime.
